Size and Fit of the Men's Mizuno Wave Horizon 2
General Size and Fit
The men’s Mizuno Wave Horizon 2 features a 10 mm drop and comes in a men’s regular width. Our fit experts recommend you go up by one half size for your true foot size.
The upper construction is comprised of engineer mesh with synthetic overlays for support and durability. These overlays attach directly to the lace system to provide added lock-down security. At the rear of the shoe, a padded heel collar helps to prevent wobble inside the shoe and accidental shoe removals.
The midsole of the men’s Mizuno Wave Horizon 2 features an impressive variety of technology to make an athlete’s running experience more enjoyable and efficient. The midsole is made up of U4ic foam and U4icX foam which add both cushion and support. The more supportive of the two foams, the U4icX, was specifically added to the heel area to better absorb and disperse shock upon landing.
Cloudwave™ technology was redesigned into a concave shape to help propel runners forward.
Additionally, a series of grooves in the midsole keep the platform of the shoe flexible so that the foot can more naturally move with the shoe. But too much movement can be a negative for those looking for a stabilizing effect. So, Mizuno added a special fan-shaped section into the midsole helps to hold the arch in place and keep it in a neutral position while running.
The outsole of the forefoot and rearfoot are separated to enhance flexibility during the gait cycle and help to better disperse impact forces. The use of carbon rubber increases the overall durability of the shoe over time.
