Brooks Cascadia 12 Updates
The Cascadia 12’s ability to manage its internal moisture levels is unrivaled by any other trail running shoe. Its breathable materials manage to securely wrap and support the foot, while still regulating temperatures and expelling moisture. After extended use, the Cascadia 12 will begin to mold and shape to your feet-even more so than prior generations. Implementing the pivot point system adds additional structure and shock distribution into the sole - this means gentle cradling on the strike-down and power for your toe-off.
Size and Fit of the Brooks Cascadia 12
General Size and Fit
Because the Brooks Cascadia 12s are a half size smaller than standard, it might be a good idea to order them one half size larger than you normally would. This model comes in a regular men’s width.
The upper portion of the Cascadia 12 is comprised of a unique combination of Microfiber Overlays and Synthetic Overlays to provide unrivaled structure and support. Because the Hydrophobic Foam Packaging in the shoe doesn’t hold water or moisture, you can easily expel sweat from your shoes and keep moisture from penetrating your trainers if it starts to rain. The Element lining under the main upper fabric takes moisture management a step further by providing your feet with a second form of protection if the first fails. We all know that wet, soggy socks are the worst, so a good drainage system is priceless. p>
The bulk of this shoe’s push back and bounce comes from the S-257 midsole compound. Providing comfort and support, the Cascadia 12’s midsole gives this shoe the structure and comfort that makes it so dependable.
The 3D Hex Lug Pattern on the outsole of the Cascadia 12 serves up grip and traction when you hit the trail. Its Ballistic Rock Shield is comprised of thermoplastics that prevent puncture if you happen to step on a jagged rock or other dangerous elements. Show no fear in the mountains. In fact, with the Cascadia 12s, the mountains should be scared of you.
